Triggering economic growth is actually a matter of economic structures. The upgrading of structures must, on the one hand, be built on the inherent strengths of the region and, on the other hand, must meet the needs of sustainable global competitiveness.
The opportunities for regional growth could be identified through the analysis and restructuring of the internal factors, as well as balancing these findings against the vision of the future economy of Europe.
The only possible way to reach a breakthrough was reindustrialization, in this case the restructuring of the regional economy, which could only be achieved by delivering a new development strategy based on the wider foundations of the present and future requirements of economic competitiveness. This ”Pole Strategy”, based on the strengths and opportunities of the regional centre proved to be the appropriate response. The core idea of the strategy is that in today’s globalised world, change should not be managed but rather initiated.
The identified aims can be delivered in three flexible and still emerging industries which also bear a standard profile:
-the health industry
-the environment industry
-the culture industry
In all three industries, regional, cluster-like operations are prominent. They encompass all activities from research and technology development to product and service development and the whole chain of domestic sales and exports.

As representatives of the structural cooperation of the local economy the clusters get international visibility, training and business opportunities trough the european projects of the chamber. As a result of cooperation the economic utilisation of innovational developments, joint appearance and the development of export capabilities can be realised.
„Withouth developing the economy the South Transdanube will be still among the lagging regions. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry supports not only the individual businesses, but also the joint development of clusters. The items of the cooperation were developed according to the needs and possibilities of the clusters.”
